Legal Directory, legaldir.com, has been in service since November 1995, and except for its first 6 months, TransVision has continuously hosted and maintained it. We've periodically refreshed its appearance. In October 2006 we added secure online payment processing through PayPal. We offer hosted lawyer videos as an optional upgrade for our subscribers. Keeping web sites fresh, attractive and technically up-to-date is good business. How's your site? When was it last updated?
Reliable, accurate and speedy transmission of Internet websites is just as important as the content and design of your web presence. Our family of dedicated servers is connected via DS3 circuits to multiple internet backbones at Denver's mid-town Gas and Electric Building, adjacent to Qwest's Central Office Switch, a major communications hub for the 14 state Rocky Mountain West. Our colocation facility includes redundant generators to provide uninterrupted service in the event of electric service outages.
TransVision's BSD Unix-based Mac OS X Servers broadcast QuickTime and websites via the Apache Web Server, preferred by hosting services for more than half of all websites worldwide. QuickTime 7's MPEG-4 H.264 codec yields near broadcast quality and scalability far more efficiently than the other two popular web video competitors. TransVision owns and operates its own DNS (Domain Name Service) for true turnkey, soup-to-nuts utility in getting web sites up and running quickly. We do not allow bulk emails (spam). Nor do we double as an ISP to avoid compromising our mission as a premium transmitter of web content. QuickTime and the QuickTime Logo, and Mac OS X Server are trademarks of Apple Computer, Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.
